Enterprise Ireland establishes new Potential Exporters Division and launches new programmes of supports to get more Irish companies exporting.
On March 13th, the minister for Job, enterprise and Innovation, Richard Burton, T.D. announced that a new Potential Exporters Division in Enterprise Ireland has gone live and launches new programmes of supports for exporters in order to get more indigenous companies trading in foreign markets.
The new Potential Exporters division will:
1. Identify more exporters and generate and providing focussed targeted supports to those companies.
2. Provide support for 1800 companies in 2012.
3. Target 250 of these for intensive work on export initiatives
4. To Achieve an increases of 60% in the number of companies which will receive the Going Global grant in 2012, compared with 2011.
The “Get Export Ready” programme of support, aimed specifically at pre-export and early stage exporting companies, will provide the following new supports for exporting companies:
1. Workshops, seminars and training across the country.
2. Mentoring and advocate supports.
3. Access to market information.
4. A new web site with “how to” guides, links to relevant information, self assessment tools and templates.
5. A new helpdesk.
6. Access to advice from successful exporting companies.
7. Access to a range of Enterprise Ireland financial supports.
